Mudrooms and Entry Ways
Let’s face it. It’s not just a mudroom; it’s an entry to your home; sometimes the most frequently used entry way into your home. Many of your guests come into your home through the mudroom or back entry hall and, like it or not, what they see makes an impression. So if we’re going to organize it anyway and create a space that’s efficient, utilitarian, and multi-purpose, why not make it beautiful as well?
Potentially, based on how your house is arranged and what space you have available, a mudroom can be lots of different things. First and foremost it should provide a place where you can come in, take off your jacket and hang it up. Wouldn’t it be great if there were a place for the kids’ shoes and boots? How about a cushioned bench so you could sit down to pull those boots on and off? What about cubbies? How about lots of hooks for jackets? Drawers or baskets for hats and gloves and scarves? Maybe storage for some sporting equipment? How about the dog’s leash and your collection of umpteen baseball hats? We could go on but you get the drift.
Our designers can create a mudroom that will knock your socks off…ok not literally, but we are working on that. How about just a place where the kids’ school bags, your brief case, rain coats, hats, umbrellas, gloves, scarves, boots, sneakers, jackets and anything else you might want to keep by the door can co-exist in peace and harmony and look great while doing it? That’s what we’re talking about! Let the Closet Works work on a solution to all your storage challenges, and the mudroom is a great place to start!
